Passage: Galatians 4:8-20
Human nature tends to think that life can be compartmentalized. Many people try to separate their social life from their religious life. They think they can act with different standards at work than when they are off from work. The city of Las Vegas plays up to this with the slogan, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” There is a good Greek word for that – baloney! The reality is that life cannot be compartmentalized. Sinful behavior and attitudes in one area will ultimately affect every other area.
As a believer, you are positionally perfect before God. He sees Christ in you and the perfection of Jesus is credited to your eternal account. Practically, God wants you to be conformed to the image of Christ so that your life will be a good testimony for Him right now. Sanctification is the process of being made holy in every area of your life spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and physically. The person you are on Sunday in worship is the person you should be Saturday night and all through the week. Say yes to letting Christ be formed in you!
