Passage: Proverbs 31:10-31
Mother’s Day was yesterday, but today is a good day for reflection of the value and impact of godly mothers. I am blessed to have had one. Though my mother passed away just prior to her 52 birthday, she left a legacy that gave her four children a rich heritage. I jokingly say she was a mean mom. She made us go to school and we only missed if we were truly sick. She had in church Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night and any other time the church had something going on. She made us eat healthy dinners that she had prepared. We had curfews and she enforced them.
I didn’t always appreciate the convictions of our mother when I was young, but my appreciation changed as an adult and has only grown through the years. I am thrilled to see many godly young mothers in our local church and I pray God’s grace for them. They are raising the next generation of Christian leaders. Thank God for the impact of godly mothers on our world.
