Passage: Colossians 3:15-24

Anyone who has been married for a long time has learned two things about love. One is that our spouse likes to hear the words “I love you”. Two is that our spouse needs to see actions that show “I love you”. Those actions are seen in practical actions that demonstrate that our spouse has priority in our lives and that we want our spouse to feel loved and special.

Practical service is a part of worship as well. Saying you love God with your lips, but not showing you love God with your actions rings hollow. The Apostle Paul challenges believers to “offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1) Dynamic worship is not just a Sunday morning experience. It is a lifestyle of service, in which you use the gifts and talents God gave you to serve Him and be a blessing to others. Whatever you do, from your job to your recreation, view it as an offering and an act of worship to Christ. God will be pleased with that offering and it will transform everything you do.
