As they traveled from town to town, they delivered the decisions reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey.” (Acts 16:3-4)

Passage: Philippians 3:7-16

Many years ago during the first or second week of my freshman year in college, I attended an event hosted by the Baptist Student Ministry on campus.  The Director, Lonnie Hayter, gave a challenge that included a simple question. Would we spend our time in college or would invest our time? Spending anticipates meeting an immediate need or want. Investment anticipates getting a return in the future.

Many people spend their time and energy on themselves. Those who live life to its fullest invest their time and energy in making a difference in the lives of others. God designed you to make a difference. One of the decisions that will insure you do that is to answer the question, “What is your mission?” Every Sunday at the start of our worship service, we repeat our mission statement, “I exist to glorify God and to work with Him as He builds His Kingdom.” Make that your mission. It will impact how you study, how you work, how you relate to people, what you do and where you go. It will also impact your world.
