Passage: Psalm 25:4-13

Whenever you drive at night, you turn on the headlights. Those headlights only shine about 350 feet. When you start toward your destination, you can’t see the end of your trip, but you don’t need to see the end at the beginning. All you need to do is travel as far as you can see. As you travel, you will receive just enough light to keep you on the road and to help you safely navigate all the twists and turns along the way.

God had a plan for Abraham and He has a plan for you. The ultimate destination is heaven after you complete the life God has given you on earth. God doesn’t reveal all the specific things in His plans for you, nor does He tell you in advance where all of the twists and turns in life are going to be. What He does do is give you the light from His Word and the leading of His Spirit to guide you to move forward to accomplish the plans He has for you. Abraham didn’t know exactly where he was going, but He knew God had called him to go to the land of Canaan so he obeyed and went. He walked by faith and followed God’s plan. God wants you to do the same.
