And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.” (Hebrews 11:11-12)

Passage: Psalm 67:1-7

God had a plan for Abraham. It included starting a family that would become the nation of Israel and settling in a specific land that would be the homeland for the nation. It was set in motion when Abraham left Ur of the Chaldeans (modern day Iran) and set out to go toward the land of Canaan (modern day Israel). God provided for Abraham’s physical needs at every step of his journey, and then when Abraham and his wife, Sarah were way past childbearing age, God miraculously gave them a son.

When you follow God’s plan for your life, He will never get you started and then leave you on your own to make it happen. As He guides you, He will provide for you. The Apostle Paul affirmed this when he wrote, “My God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Live a life of distinction and trust God to provide. He will take care of you!
