These are exciting days for the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church Grand Prairie.

The Music Ministry’s purpose at First Baptist is to build up the body of Christ through music and encourage the listener as well as the performer to have a closer walk with God. Col. 3:16 says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God”.  I am humbled to be part of a church that has had such a rich heritage in music.  Our prayer and aim is to continue that rich heritage of sharing the gospel through music and also seeking to help those find a place of fellowship serving the Lord together through the music programs of the church.  So, if you sing or play an instrument, we would love to have you be part of this wonderful ministry.

The Bible is full of stories how God used music to encourage the weak, build up the strong and even bring walls down that have been built up in our lives. WOW!  What a great God we serve!  Come join us and be part of a ministry that will build you up and help you break down walls that have kept you from praising God. You are welcome anytime.

If you have any questions about the Music Ministry at First Baptist, contact Joel Salazar (972-262-5146).   I would love to meet you.
