Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: ‘To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’ The four living creatures said, ‘Amen,’ and the elders fell down and worshiped.” (Revelation 5:13-14)
Passage: Philippians 2:5-11

The Apostle John had the blessing of being one of the twelve disciples who followed Jesus during His 3 ½ year ministry on earth. He was there at the cross when Jesus was crucified and He was the first disciple to see the empty tomb after Jesus was raised. He was the only one of the apostles who was not physically martyred, though he did experience harsh persecution and endured an exile on the island of Patmos. It was during that exile, that John was given the Revelation of Jesus and a picture of the future, including a look beyond into heaven.
In that vision, John saw one of greatest things we will experience for all of eternity. That is the eternal exaltation of Jesus as Lord. John saw and heard believers and all of creation singing praise to Jesus, the Lamb of God. He will be exalted for who His is and for what He has done. Our time here on earth is a preparation for eternity. Since we will praise Jesus in song and in service then and there, we ought to exalt Him with our best in song and service her and now. He is worthy!
