Passage: Romans 8:28-39
In Solomon’s reflection on the realities of time, he makes a simple point that all of us are subject to the dichotomies which we experience in life. Our limitations to know what the future holds here in our time on earth is something God designed into creation and that uncertainty is a burden people carry. The answer to that burden is not to look within yourself. It is not to look around yourself. It is to look above yourself and look to God.
In Romans 8:28-29, Paul points out that God works in the midst of all your circumstance to bring about good in your life. The good he means is not primarily a change in the conditions of your life. It is to develop the character of Christ within you. That character is what is truly beautiful. When you face difficult experiences that cause grief to your heart or physical difficulty in your life, you need to process those things. As you respond and let God’s grace give you comfort and strength, over time He will let you see that He works through everything and He has a plan to use you to help others who go through similar hurts. God makes all things beautiful in hits time and you can rejoice that He has a plan for you.
