Jesus is the Incarnate Man

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. . . . He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” (John 1:6-9)
  Passage: Philippians 2:5-11

A group of children decided to do their own Nativity play in their Sunday School class. One girl quickly volunteered to be Mary and all the rest of the children took parts, except one girl who finally spoke up and said, “I’ll be the doctor who delivers the baby.” No one else had thought about that, but it did make some sense, so they all went along with it. When they got to the scripture that says, “The time came for the baby to be born”, the little doctor when over to the manger and picked up the baby. The boy who was playing Joseph got into the part of a new father and called out, “What is it doc?!” The girl answered, “It’s God!”
God the Son stepped out of the glory of heaven and wrapped Himself in human flesh. He was born to a poor, teenage girl in a stable in Bethlehem. Jesus is the incarnate man. He is the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy in Isaiah 7:14 that the Messiah would be named Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” Fully God. Fully man. He became a human so we could see God, touch God, hear God, know God and He came so for one ultimate purpose. He came to save us from our sin.
