“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government sand peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.”
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

       Passage: Psalm 126:1-6

In 1943, right about the middle of WWII, Bing Crosby recorded a song that touched the heart and became a Christmas classic. The song is “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”. The words of the chorus said, “Christmas Eve will find me, Where the love light gleams, I'll be home for Christmas, If only in my dreams.” The human heart longs for a home. Some people did not have a home to go to at Christmas. Others had a home they could have gone to, but they chose not to go.
God wants everyone to have a home with Him. He gave His Son to be our Savior, so that we might have forgiveness of sin and receive eternal life in heaven. When you have Christ in your life, a home with God is not a dream. It is a reality. You are part of His forever family and you have a home in heaven that is prepared for you. You also can experience a spiritual home in a local church family where you can grow and do life with other believers. Jesus leads us home and that is a great place to be!
