You are Crafted in His Image

      Passage: Psalm 139:13-17

        In 2021, the London auction house, Christie’s auctioned off a painting that was said to be by an associate of Rembrandt. The asking price was around $15,000. When speculation grew that it might be an actual Rembrandt work, the painting sold for $992,000. The buyer then had the painting examined closely and after confirming it was done by Rembrandt, re-auctioned it in 2023. The painting sold for $13.8 million. In the art world, the value of a painting depends on the artist.
        You are of infinite worth to God. Your value is not based on your performance, personality, position, or possessions. It is based on the face that God created you and crafted you in His image. He loves you and paid the ultimate price to redeem your life from the bondage of sin. 1 Peter 1:19 says, “He paid for you with the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless lamb of God.” Don’t ever tear down what God has made. See yourself the way He sees you. You are special and uniquely designed by God and He wants you to be a reflection of Him in this world.
