Passage: Galatians 6:9-10
God made you. He gifted you. He has a plan for your life and He wants to use you to make a difference in this world for Him. When He called Jeremiah to be a prophet, God said, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, . . .” (Jeremiah 1:5a) Paul pointed out that we are God’s workmanship, which can also be translated as masterpiece.
When God created and crafted you, He had a design and a plan for you. He said to Jeremiah, “I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Paul tells us that we are created to do good works and then he added, “which God prepared in advance for us to do.” One of the reasons God wants you to love yourself and know how special you are in His eyes is so that you can be free to serve others without being concerned about what benefit or recognition you will receive. God wants you to be available to Him and He will open doors of opportunity for you to use your gifts and talents for Him. You can’t do everything, but you can do something. Let God lead you into service for Him.
