Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “We put in at Syracuse and stayed there three days. From there we set sail and arrived at Rhegium. The next day the south wind came up, and on the following day we reached Puteoli. There we found some brothers who invited us to spend a week with them. And so we came to Rome. The brothers there had heard that we were coming, and they traveled as far as the Forum or Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. At the sight of these men Paul thanked God and was encouraged.” (Acts 28:12-15)
      Passage: Hebrews 10:24-25

One of the things that gets the least attention with people study the life and writings of the Apostle Paul is how much he valued relationship. In every one of his letters, he begins the letter referencing relationships he had had how he thanked God for the people he was writing to. At the end of every letter, he often listed different people who were special to him. As he was being taken to Rome where he would be in a house arrest under Roman guard, he was encouraged by Luke being with him, but he also was greatly encouraged by believers he met in Puteoli and those who came to meet him in Rome.
We are not designed to do life alone. God wired us for relationships, and He gives wants us to be in fellowship with others who can not only be with us in good times, but can especially be encouragement to us in tough times. In 2025, value fellowship with other believers and thank God for relationships He gives.
