Be Focused Purposefully

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “ They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. From morning till evening he explained and declared to them the kingdom of God and tried to convince them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets. Some were convinced by what he said, but others would not believe.” (Acts 28:23-24)
  Passage: Matthew 22:36-40; 28:18-20

One of the sad realities in churches in America is that most churches are either plateaued or declining. While there are many factors that contribute to this, I believe that one of the key factors is the loss of understanding their primary purpose and a loss of passion to pursue the purpose if they actually know it. Jesus was clear in giving the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. In our church, we seek to keep the overall purpose before our church family by beginning our service stating our Mission statement, which says, “I exist to glorify God and work with Him as He builds His Kingdom.”
Paul understood his mission. Even when he was under Roman arrest and put into a house arrest with a Roman guard 24/7, he used the allowance to have visitors to invite Jewish leaders in Rome to come visit with him and he proclaimed Christ and the gospel to them. In 2025, stay focused on God’s purposes to Love God/Love People and let God use you to help reach people for Him.
