     Passage: Psalm 125:1-5

At a funeral, it is customary to hear something good said about the deceased, but sometimes that hard to do. A story is told about two brothers who had terrible reputations. One died and the living brother went to the Baptist preacher and offered to give the church $10,000 if the preacher would tell people his brother was a saint. The preacher agreed and everyone in town showed up to hear if he really would do it. The preacher got up and said, “Bubba was a mean, sorry man. He was a drunkard, a womanizer and a lying cheat. But compared to his brother he was a saint!”
What are you known for? Are you known more for the conduct of the sin nature described in Galatians 5:19-21 or the character of Christ described in Galatians 5:22-23. The nine attributes Paul describes are all part of one fruit that the Spirit has placed in your life. The sin nature wants to cover them up. God wants them to be revealed and expressed in your life. These are the things which bless you and bless others. They are God’s best for you. Let the life of Christ be seen through you today!
