Distinct Faithfulness is Visible

Passage: Matthew 11:1-19
Though some people may try to cover up how they are feeling on the inside, the face typically gives things away. King Solomon observed this and wrote in Proverbs 15:13, “When people are happy, they smile, but when they are sad, they look depressed.” (GNT) His point is that the outside of your life will reflect the inside of your life.
As Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth, he commented that their lives were the visible testimony to the world of the work He had done and the effects of the gospel. They had believed in Jesus and received the Holy Spirit into their lives. He didn’t need a letter of recommendation for His ministry. Their lives were all the recommendation He needed. When John the Baptist was in prison, he sent some of his followers to ask Jesus, “Are you the one? Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the dead are raised and the good news is preached to the poor.” Faithfulness to Christ is a visible characteristic of the Spirit within a believer. Let His character be seen in you.
