Give Whatever Help You Can

Pray – (1/2 minute)

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “He went to him and bandaged his would, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you many have.’ ” (Luke 10:34-35)
  Passage: Galatians 5:13-14, John 6:1-13

When the Samaritan man saw the wounded man on the road, his heart felt pity for him, but he didn’t stop there. He helped the man in every way he could. First, he administered basic medical aid to clean the wound and stop the bleeding. Second, he took the man to a place where he could have continued care and recovery. Third, he provided resources and promised to do more if needed. His actions gave an example of loving our neighbor, who is simply, anyone in the world.
God doesn’t call on you to take care of everyone you might see. He does want you to be available to Him by having an interest in ministering to people and meeting needs, getting involved and making an investment. He doesn’t expect you to do everything, but He does want you to be willing to do something.  Give whatever help you can and watch God use you to impact your world.
