You Can Rely on His Promises

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “. . . and behold, I am with you . . .” (Matthew 28:20b)
      Passage: 2 Corinthians 1:18-22

       You and I were born with a sin nature and one manifestation of that nature is seen in the capacity to lie. Lying is something we can do, but it is one thing that God cannot do. Hebrews 6:18b say, “. . . it is impossible for God to lie. . .” This is one way you can have absolute confidence that, as a believer in Jesus, you are never alone. Jesus made a promise that He would be with you and He keeps every promise He makes.

        In the Bible, there are around 8000 promises of God. Many of those promises are general promises for all believers for all time. Some of them are specific to an individual or group for a specific circumstance or time, but there are times, God will apply a promise spoken specifically in the past to a present situation you face. The key to experiencing God’s promises is through having a relationship with Jesus and taking God at His word. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” Jesus promises to be with you. You can rely on His promise. You are never alone.
