Worship God by Faith

Pray – (1/2 minute)

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, ‘Abraham!’ ‘Here I am,’ he replied. Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love and go the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.’ . . . On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his servants, ‘Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and we will come back to you.’ ” (Genesis 22:1-5)
      Passage: Romans 8:31-39

        God gave Abraham a test of faith. It was not to show Abraham’s faith was weak. It was to show that Abraham’s faith was strong, and it would be a picture of what God the Father  would do in sending Jesus, God the Son, to die on the cross to pay for the sin of the world. Abraham didn’t understand God’s reasoning, but He knew God’s heart. He knew Isaac was the child of the Covenant Promise in making Abraham’s offspring become a nation and believed that God would raise Isaac up again. His faith was expressed in his statement to the servant. “We will worship and we will come back to you.”
        Jesus is God’s provision for you to have eternal life in heaven by faith in Him. Worship shows Him your love and gratitude for salvation and your trust that whatever trials you face, He is greater. He will see you through. Worship God by faith and trust His care for you.
