God Will Speak to You as a Friend

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, who did all those miraculous signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt – to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.” (Deuteronomy 34:10-12)

       Passage: Psalm 36:1-10

Joshua gave his praise to Moses and rightly so, but God loved him, and he loves you as much as He loved Moses. In Acts 10:34-35, Peter realized that God was working to save Gentiles to Himself in exactly the same way as He was working to save Jews, through faith in Jesus alone. He said, “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.” Fearing is believing. Doing is receiving.

Jesus said in John 15:14-15, “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” Moses had an intimate relationship with the Lord. He was a friend to God and God was a friend to him. When you know Jesus, He is the same to you. Enjoy being His friend.
