Reflect Christ in Your Life

Passage: 2 Timothy 2:22-24; Colossians 3:12-14
When Solomon wrote about wearing white and anointing the head with oil, he was not giving a lesson on fashion and grooming. The two admonitions are symbolic of living life with God in control and seeking to reflect him in who you are and what you do. White is symbolic of purity and oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Being clothed in white means that your actions each day should reflect Christ. Anointing your head with oil means that your attitudes should reflect your consciousness that God has set you apart for His service.
The world is always looking for opportunities to cast aspersion on Christians, especially leaders in churches. One of the saddest things to read in a paper is a headline that points to a fall of a minister in a moral failure. One key for avoiding that is to make every count by setting your heart to reflect Christ today in your actions and attitude. Live that way one day at a time and let the world see Jesus in you!
