Be Committed to Your Family

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun – all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 9:9)
     Passage: Ephesians 5:21-6:4

         Before God established a corporate structure for worship, which we know as the church and before He established a governmental structure for society, God established the family. His design in marriage is for one man and one woman to be united in a commitment for life. While His plan for every individual does not include marriage, every person was born into a family. Because of our sin nature, many families are broken and family members are estranged from each other, but those situations delight Satan, not God.
        God desire for you is that you will be committed to love your family. Whatever situations may have occurred or happened in the past, be committed to love family members, be available to them and open to relationship. If you are married, express your love to your spouse today vocally and visually through what your say and what you do. If you a parent, encourage your children and affirm your unconditional love. If you are a child, show honor and respect to your parents and siblings. The home is the first place to live for Christ. Live well for Him in your home today.
