Keep on Praying because Results come through Christ
Pray - (1/2 minute)
Read - (2 1/2 minutes) - "And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:6-8)
Read: 2 Corinthians 1:20-22
A man took his son and a group of friends to a carnival for his son's birthday. He bought more than enough ride tickets for all the boys to go on the rides and handed them out. After a while, a boy he had never seen came up to him and asked for a ticket. The man asked, "Are you here with my my son's group?" The boy replied, "No, but your son is a friend of mine and he told me to come see you and you would give me a ticket."
In the parable Jesus told of the widow seeking justice, He said she ultimately got the result she needed because she would quit claiming her legal rights and the unjust judge finally relented. His point is not that we have to wear God out because He is reluctant. It's just the opposite. God is not reluctant to answer prayer. Everyone who believes in Jesus and confesses Him as Lord can pray with confidence because of their relationship to God and their rights as a child of God. The results of answered prayer come as you pray in the name of Jesus with trust in His love and for His will to be done. God the Father has given the promises in His Word for His children. Jesus is the "yes" to those promises. We say "Amen", or "so be it" as we pray within the promises of God. Keep on praying. God loves you and He answers prayer.
