Keep on Praying Because of Your Relationship with God
Pray - (1/2 minute)
Read - (2 1/2 minutes) - "And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?" (Luke 18:6-7
Read: Romans 8:15-17
In the parable of the widow needing a judge to help her after she had been wronged, Jesus stated that the judge was unjust. The judge didn't fear God or respect men. He took brides and made judgements in favor of people who had money and influence. The widow had neither, which was central to the point Jesus was making about prayer. God is not like that unjust judge. His ear is always open to this children and He does not play favorites.
When you believed in Jesus and confessed Him as Lord, you became a child of the living God. That moment is described as both spiritual birth and adoption. In both of those, you were brought into God's eternal family and your relationship to Him is irrevocable. It is not not dependent on anything you did or anything you do now. You are a child of God because you placed faith in Jesus and what He did for you. Healthy, good parents are always open to a call from their children and God is the perfect Father. Your relationship as a child of God means He is always open to you. Keep on praying. Your Father is listening.
