Loving the Spirit’s Work in You
Pray - (1/2 minute)
Read - (2 1/2 minutes) - "I thank my God every team I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confdent of this, that He who bagan a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)
Read: Psalm 85:1-13
After the Korean War armistace, the North Korean communist government built a town in the demilitarized zone named Kijong-dong. They claim it is home to about 200 families with business buildings, schools and a hospital. From afar, the buildings look nice, but they are empty on the inside. They do not have plumbing or indoor lighting. They were built to give the illusion of prosperity and try to tempt South Korean soldiers to defect, but they are void of light and life.
That village is like our lives without Christ. Created in the image of God, we can love our families and do things that make the world a better place to live. However, because all of us were born with a sin nature, the inside of our lives was devoid of spiritual light and life. Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit was the answer to bring the light and life we needed. When you put your trust in Jesus, the Spirit came into your life and began a work in you to make you all God designed you to be. Thank God for that and love the Spirit’s work in your life.
